#persistence
"Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent."
-Calvin Coolidge
With the grace of God, Lana has continued to get healthier and healthier. No doubt that there were plenty of bleak moments (and I mean REALLY bleak), but she has persisted. As they say, "the harder the battle, the sweeter the victory". With the help of her doctors, nurses, and respiratory therapists, we've finally gotten to the point where conversations of her homecoming are starting to happen. The overwhelming support and prayers we have received have made such a great impact not only for Lana, but for the rest of our family as well. To be honest, I'm still stuck in a feeling of disbelief, and I don't know how to react once we finally open the door to our home with our whole family together.
But just like everything else during this journey, we will cross that bridge once we get there. At the moment, we still have to make sure we have all our ducks lined up. Good thing that we've been planning ahead. I'll expand more on what else needs to be done once we get a clearer picture by the end of this week.
