Only the curious have something to find

There are some days where Lana just likes to stare and observe. She is becoming more and more curious and aware of her surroundings. Her eyes also seem to do a lot of talking. Today, she just wanted to play for as long as she could and stayed awake the whole time throughout our visit. Of course, we're more than delighted to play with her, but she also needs to continue to rest.

She's still weaning down from her Morphine and Ativan, but sometimes she displays signs of withdrawal. Although she's been pretty good about it, she has her fits of vomiting and restlessness (which could also explain why she hasn't been sleeping much). The pressure support for her CPAP has been reduced more, and hopefully she can maintain it. It fills our hearts to see Lana progress so much through the many months in the NICU. She's starting to really grow into her own. =)
